Klimate Shield Defense provides excellent protection against rust, corrosion and oxidation. This product was initially tested and used by the Navy to prevent rust on ships and other military applications. You can access the NAVSEA test results below along with a test vs powder coating.
Our initial test was on a “Commercial Fertilizer Spreader” so we could test the product in an extreme environment. You can see the case study below with the others. The idea was if it can stand up to fertilizer there is nothing in the consumer market it can’t withstand.

When applying to the underneath of a vehicle or RV you can apply to everything including the exhaust from the “MUFFLER BACK” giving you the most complete protection on the market today.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it last?
We expect you to get over 5 years of protection with a daily driver in northern climates where there is a lot of snow, ice and chemicals applied to the roads. So depending on the application it could be longer or shorter depending on application, use, climate and how well you maintain the vehicle, RV or other equipment.
How do you apply it?
You can spray it like painting a car, with a brush or a roller. Product self levels extremely well.
Is there any rust that is too severe for the Defense System?
The surface must have structural integrity and safe to be used for the application. If it is safe, then you can remove rust scaling with a wire brush, wash with degreaser, let it completely dry and apply the rust converter. (see application instructions for rust converter)
How many coats of Defense will I need?
Usually one coat is enough for most consumer applications but applying 2 coats will not hurt anything.
What equipment will I need?
It depends on how you will apply, but you will need minimal equipment. See application instructions below.
How do I repair an area that has chipped off due to impact?
Clean the area. You can apply over the area with a brush. The product will self level and adhere to the surface and existing coating.
Do I need to clean the area before applying?
Yes, surface should be free of dirt, oil and or grease to get the best adhesion of the product. The product will not stick to oil, grease or dirt.
How do I remove existing rust before applying Converter and Defense?
Use a wire brush to remove scaling, but you do not need to grind down to bare metal. Only remove the scaling and the Rust Converter will do the rest of the work.
Can I purchase the product at a dealership?
Yes, we have a few dealerships who carry the product and it comes with a 5 year warranty. We can do this as we can be more assured the product is professionally applied by trained staff.
How much product will I need for my project?
When sprayed on with a HPLV Air Spray gun 1 quart will do a vehicle the size of a Chevrolet Tahoe with product to spare.
Is Klimate Shield the Manufacture?
We have partnered with Master’s Touch, which is the inventor and manufacture of the products. Klimate Shield is the exclusive distributor to the consumer markets.
